The Campus
There must be few teacher training institutes in the country which can rival Vidya Bhawan IASE's location set in an eco-friendly surrounding and outstanding natural beauty, with magnificent hills and graceful lakes.
The Institute buildings are elegantly designed and stand on an eminence, near the picturesque Fatehsagar Lake and command a fine view of the landscape in the Aravali range around Udaipur.
The Institute has extensive grounds and lovely gardens. The institute is surrounded by other sister Institutes and is close to the Vidya Bhawan Society Head Office.
Buildings
The College buildings are elegantly designed and stand on eminence, near Fatehsagar lake and command a fine view of the landscape in the 'Aravali' range around Udaipur. The foundation stone of the main crescent shaped building was laid on Oct 3,1942 by Sir Mirza Ismile, the then Prime Minister of Jaipur State. The three other buildings are known as Language lab block, IASE block and the UGC block. In addition to these, there is an assembly hall with a capacity of 300 persons. These buildings have four conference halls, Class rooms, laboratories, administrative block, faculty room, library, reading room, laboratories and other amenities.
Play Grounds and Games Facilities
The College has its own play grounds for volley ball and basket ball. Indoor games facilities for badminton and table tennis are available. Annual sports meet provides opportunities for participation in sports with major aim of giving exposure in organizing sports activities.
Hostels and Cafe
The college has three hostels in all.A three storeyed hostel with accommodation for 250 students is available. The foundation stone of the hostel building was laid on March 31, 1954 by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India. There is a separate hostel for female students. Another hostel having 52 rooms is meant for in-service teachers. Facilities for residence in the hostels are available for all B.Ed. and M.Ed. students. 'Annapurna', the Cafeteria of the institute provides tea, coffee and meals at a reasonable price.
It has a prominent place in the campus.
Auditorium
The auditorium of the Institute was constructed in the year 1996-97 with the financial assistance from the MHRD for conducting in-service education programmes such as conferences, seminar, workshops, etc.
It has seating capacity for 350 persons.
Water recycling system
The institution also has a unique system of water recycling. Waste water of the drains is used for gardens after treating.
